<p>Disclosed is a lamellar organic silicic acid which has an improved adsorbing power to alcohols and is capable of isolating a general organic compound. Also disclosed is a method for producing such a lamellar organic silicic acid. In a lamellar organic silicic acid wherein a substituted silyl group is bonded to a lamellar polysilicic acid, the substituted silyl group has an alkyl group and the alkyl group has a substituent bonded to the end of the alkyl group which substituent is selected from the group consisting of amino groups, epoxyethyl groups, epoxyethyloxy groups, vinyl groups, isopropenyl groups, 1-phenylvinyl groups, 4-vinylphenyl groups, isocyanate groups and hydroxyl groups. The lamellar organic silicic acid is obtained by silylating a lamellar polysilicate with a silane compound.</p> |
