摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a large capacity recording medium having high reliability by enabling the accurate reproduction of information recorded as a rugged (emboss-pit) shape even when the information is reproduced from a recording medium by magneto-optical effect utilizing MSR, in a storage device, an optical recording medium, and information recording method. SOLUTION: This medium has a control region in which control information is previously recorded with a embossed shape and a data region in which data is recorded by an optical means. When N>1 is assumed, the recording density of the control region is set to 1/N times recording density of the data region, recording density of the data region is the same as that of the control region. The control region includes a data part in which specific medium information of the recording medium is recorded and a discriminating part for discriminating the recording region, and the data region includes a data part in which data is recorded and the discriminating part for discriminating the recording region.
