PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary disk type storage device equipped with a stopper mechanism and a latch mechanism making a sure retraction by reducing an impact to an actuator head suspension assembly (AHSA) when an impact or runaway is generated from the outside. SOLUTION: The latch mechanism is constituted so as to include the rotatably supported AHSA 15, the stopper 31 for restricting the rotation of the AHSA to the direction A1, an inertial member 100 rotating to the direction B2 when the AHSA rotates to the direction A1 while elastically deforming the stopper, and a latch member rotating to the direction A2 by receiving a torque from the inertial member while having an engaging part 155, to make the engaging part to move to the latch position.
