<p>A method for mounting a fingerstock EMI shielding gasket (10) on a sheet metal structure (12) includes the steps of forming tabs (18, 20, 26, 28, 30, 44, 46) which protrude from the surface of the sheet metal structure. The shielding gasket, which has a generally D-shaped cross section with at least one mounting tab (14, 16, 34, 38) forming at least part of an upright portion therefor, is inserted into position longitudinally between the tabs of the metal structure.</p> |
