DESIGN PROBLEM SOLUTION SYSTEM AND METHOD USING FUZZY PATTERN MATCHING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design problem solution system facilitating a definition of a characteristic value characterizing a design target necessary for setting of a schema when constructing a knowledge base comprising a schema group on the basis of a case base. SOLUTION: This design problem solution system has: the case base 1 comprising a result value of a design specification item constituting design specifications; the knowledge base 2 comprising the schema group; an inference means 4 performing fuzzy pattern matching to given specific design specifications by use of the knowledge base 2 to determine a candidate of a proper design guideline; and a knowledge base construction means 3 setting the schema to the knowledge base 2. The knowledge base construction means 3 displays the result value about each of the design specification items by the candidates of the design guideline, and displays the result value of the characteristic value about the characteristic value defined as a function of the design specification item on the basis of the definition of the characteristic value by the candidates of the design guideline.
