Housing (12) of car lamp (10) is enclosed by transparent disc (14) and contains at least one light source (16), to which is allocated optical element for light direction, containing numerous ventilation holes (22). Cross-sectional face of ventilation holes is small in relation to effective surface of optical element and are distributed over at least part of its optically effective surface. Preferably cross-sectional face of ventilation holes is each 0.15 to 0.20 square mm, typically 0.75 to 1.8 square mm.
