Structure of a coolant surge tank for a commercial vehicle is provided to improve cooling performance and to improve durability of components of a cooling system. A coolant surge tank(20) for a commercial vehicle is fixed to a vehicle body of the commercial vehicle and first and second pressure caps(21,23) are formed to one side and the top of the coolant surge tank. A radiator vent line(26) connected to a radiator is formed to the first pressure cap formed to one side of the coolant surge tank, and an engine vent line(24) connected to an engine is formed to the upper end of the other side of the coolant surge tank. A check valve(25) for preventing air from flowing backward is formed in the middle of the engine vent line. The first pressure cap is situated to the upper side of the coolant surge tank and the radiator vent line communicates with an air area of the coolant surge tank.
