ANIMAL CELL-IMMOBILIZING MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR IMMOBILIZING ANIMAL CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an animal cell-immobilizing material capable of selectively immobilizing a prescribed animal cell without using a troublesome technique and to provide a method for immobilizing the animal cell.

SOLUTION: The animal cell-immobilizing material immobilizes an animal cell onto a substrate and the substrate has an analogous group of phosphorylcholine represented by formula (1) (wherein R1, R2and R3are each H, a 1-6C alkyl group or the like; n is an integer of 1-4) and a hydrazide group represented by formula (2). The animal cell-immobilizing method comprises a step for bringing a liquid material containing an animal cell cultured in a culture medium containing N-levulinoyl mannosamine into contact with the animal cell-immobilizing material.
