PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge the degree of selecting a sound effect outputted on the basis of a shutter operation. SOLUTION: A sound effect such as shutter sound, focus lock sound or self-timer sound accompanying the operation of a shutter button is copied from a storage medium such as a detachable memory card etc. to a flash memory of a digital camera so that the sound effect can be selected. At the time of self-timer photographing, a starting time Tst is set (S430, S450)on the basis of a timer time Ttm, a time Tef of outputting the sound effect and a predetermined time Tsh until performing photographing after outputting the sound effect. When the shutter button 24 is operated, the sound effect is outputted (S480) after the starting time Tst elapses (S470), and photographing is performed after the predetermined time Tsh elapses (S490) after outputting the sound effect.
