摘要 An apparatus and a method for measuring a channel state of a digital video broadcast receiver are provided to detect and reduce co-channel interference, thereby increasing an SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) gain of a system. A direct channel measurement unit(810) makes a demapping process of a received complex symbol stream, calculates an error signal from the received complex symbol stream and the demapped complex symbol stream and generates direct channel state information based on the error signal. An indirect channel measurement unit(850) generates indirect channel state information based on a magnitude signal of a channel frequency response. A co-channel interference detector(820) generates a channel state selection control signal based on the error signal and the magnitude signal thereof. A selector(860) selectively outputs the direct channel state information and the indirect channel state information in response to the channel state selection control signal.
