The invention disclose a method for providing short message service through mobile intelligent network. It mainly establish the Short Message Service Center (SMSC) and mobile intelligent networks respectively, and sets up a logic interface between Short Message Service Center (SMSC) and Service Control Point (SCP) of mobile intelligent networks. The SMSC and SCP to communicate by transforming message through the interface, which further activates short message intelligent service. Each SMSC connects at least one SCP of a mobile intelligent network, and each SCP of a mobile network connects at least one SMSC. The invention improves charging system of mobile intelligent networks greatly and makes short message function of mobile intelligent service more flexible.
