<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil capable of distinguishing a part having necessary material characteristics in use at a user side without being influenced by scattering of material characteristics at a long material circulated in the market as a coil and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: In a rolled coil manufacturing system in which a slab 80 as a rolling blank 81 is rolled into a coil 82, a plurality of finished rolling exit temperature sensor 71 to a winding temperature sensor 75 are arranged at a traveling direction and a breadth direction of a run-out cooling section 20 having influence on the material characteristics, and cooling record information 70 on the same section of a traveling rolling blank 81 is detected. Predicted characteristics information 60a of concerned sections is obtained by a characteristics simulator 60 by means of a designated material characteristics forecast model including heating /rolling record information 80b and steel making record information 80a, and distribution of the predicted characteristics information 60a is visually marked by a marking device 61 on the concerned sections of the rolling blank 81 by means of contour lines.
