<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet handling device and an image forming apparatus, which can prevent buckling of a single sheet, not requiring large force for opening a bracket, and preventing shifting of a bundle in discharging a bundle of sheets. <P>SOLUTION: This sheet handling device includes: a handling tray 129 loaded with sheets; a stapler 132 or the like for performing handling for the sheets placed on the handling tray 129; a stack tray 128 loaded with sheets handled by the stapler 132 or the like or loaded with sheets not handled by the stapler 132; a pair of first discharge rollers 126 for transporting the sheets to the handling tray 129; and a pair of rocking rollers 127 for transporting a of sheets placed on the handling tray 129 in a batch to the stack tray 128. The paired rocking rollers 127 are composed of a upper transport roller 127a and a lower transport roller 127b, wherein in transporting a sheet and a bundle of sheets, the drive is input to the respective transport rollers of the paired rocking rollers 127, and the sheet transport force in transporting the sheet to the handling tray 129 and the sheet transport force in transporting a bundle of sheets placed on the handling tray 129 in a batch to the stack tray 128 are varied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
