PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core material for a vacuum heat insulating material capable of enhancing the production efficiency by fabricating a plurality of thin pieces when cores having approximately the same thickness are to be fabricated.
SOLUTION: Glass beads are melted, and fabricated glass wool having small length and diameter is put loose in pieces, and at room temperature, the glass wool, an inorganic binder such as silica, and a solvent are mixed so that the loose pieces of glass wool are preferably laid in a certain orientation, and the obtained mixture liquid is extracted onto a conveyor belt consisting of a filter cloth while the conveyor is turned. The water contained is sucked away by a suction device while it is moved under the filter cloth. Further this is dried by a drying device in the process between the conveyor and a takeup device. The band-shaped core material fabricated in this manner is cut into lengths as specified. Because the surface unevenness of the obverse surface side is greater than that of the filter cloth surface side, two core pieces are secured by a tying band 2 free of emission of the out-gas in the condition that they are overlapped in such an arrangement that their filter cloth surface sides are positioned outside.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
|
