<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial knuckle which can regenerate a movement of fingers near a living body, is simple to be attached to a knuckle part, can prevent recurrence of deformation after an operation although its components can be mutually detached, and can be adopted to any part of the knuckle. <P>SOLUTION: The artificial knuckle comprises a plastic socket member 1 and a metal caput member 2 which is rotatably attached to the above. The socket member 1 is made of a hinge section 3, a first evagination section 4 and a first stem 5. The caput member 2 is made of a pivot 9 which is loosely engaged to be detachable in the hinge section 3, a connection section 10, a second evagination section 11, and a second stem 12. Attachment to the knuckle part is that one of a group of the first stem 5 and the evagination section 4 and a group of the second stem 12 and the evagination section 11 is inserted in a proximal side medullary cavity and the other is inserted in a distal side medullary cavity, and each of the evagination sections 4 and 11 is fixed in the medullary cavity where the same is inserted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
