PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work piece washing device which can reduce solvent consumption, especially natural loss of the solvent due to vapor generation by supplying solvent vapor in a treating area between a cooling means and a solvent liquid surface in a washing tub only at the time of vapor washing of the work piece. SOLUTION: This work piece washing device is constituted by providing a tank body 1 at an upper part of which a work piece gate 5 is formed, at a lower part of which a washing tub 6 storing a solvent A is formed, at an intermediate part of which a cooling means 7 is disposed and in which the treating area 8 is formed between the cooling means 7 and the solvent (A) liquid surface in the washing tub 6.
