摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refractometer which is improved in measurement efficiency and is adaptable to the measurement of various samples. <P>SOLUTION: The refractometer comprises a prism (38), having a prism boundary surface (40) forming a boundary surface with a sample (S) and a sample stage (14) placed around the prism boundary surface. The sample stage has, on its surface (32), a nonadhesive coating (34). The coating contains a metal and particles of a fluorocarbon resin dispersed uniformly in the metal. The fluorocarbon resin is polytetrafluoroethylene. The fluorocarbon resin content in the coating is 20 to 26vol%.
