<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retainer for a needle bearing equipped with an enhanced reliability and provide such a needle bearing. <P>SOLUTION: Because the surface roughness of the outside surface guide plane 12d is poor, it is subjected to a grinding process and a surface treatment so as to enhance the surface roughness of the plane 12d, and the wear can be suppressed low even if the plane 12d is in slide contact with the internal circumferential surface of an epicyclic gear 4c. This allows decreasing the drawing resistance of the needle bearing 10 and suppressing premature wear and/or abnormal heat emission, and occurrence of the braking phenomenon to bring about deformation and/or breakage of the retainer 12 can be suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
