<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball-point pen which effectively scatters a load to be applied to the rear end of a refill by elastic deformation while securing the sufficient elastic deformation of the rear end of the refill. <P>SOLUTION: In this ball-point pen 10 equipped with a barrel 15 and a refill 30 which is housed in the barrel 15 and has a writing point jutting out of the tip of the barrel 15, a refill plug 35 with an air hole formed in the axial center, is fitted to the rear end part of the refill 30, and an elastic deformation part 35c coming into contact with an inner wall near the rear end of the barrel 15, is provided in the refill plug 35.
