PLANAR LIGHT SOURCE DEVICE AND DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar light source device capable of automatically correcting the variation in chromaticity and luminance of the lighting light caused by changes in temperature or changes with the passage of time.

SOLUTION: This is a planar light source device which comprises a case having an aperture, a diffusion plate which is arranged at the aperture and diffuses the light entered, a light source provided in the case, and a reflecting plate for reflecting the light from the light source toward the diffusion plate. The device includes a light sensor which is arranged opposed to the diffusion plate and detects the light from the diffusion plate and a control means which adjusts the amount of outgoing light from the light source based on the detected value of the light sensor.
