PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator having a vegetable chamber that is formed vertically long to be capable of containing long vegetables in vertical attitudes, in which the door of the vegetable chamber can be easily opened, and in which appearance is excellent. SOLUTION: In this refrigerator 1, a case 10 is vertically parted, and the upper section is set as a first section 11. The lower section is further parted right and left. One of the right and the left sections are further parted vertically to be a second section 12 and a third section 13. The other of the right and the left sections is set as a fourth section 14. Doors are provided respectively on the first to the fourth sections. On the door 24 of the fourth section 14 as the vegetable chamber 60, a handle part 63 is provided at an adjoining position to the boundary between the second section 12 and the third section 13. The handle part 63 is composed of a horizontal groove 64 dented in the thickness direction of the door 24, and dented handling parts 65 and 66 are formed in an upper inner surface and/or a lower inner surface of the groove 64.
