PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel constituted so that condition setting necessary at a projection inspection time can be easily and accurately performed, even in the case a fixing part is not arranged near a focus ring or a zoom ring, and it becomes impossible to arrange a fixed index for a photographing distance or a fixed index for a focal distance near the focus ring or the zoom ring. SOLUTION: An inspection index part 13 is arranged under a ring 12 attached to the zoom ring 10. When the center of a character∞on the focus ring 20 is aligned with each scale mark corresponding to three focal distances 28, 105 and 200 of the checking index part 13, it shows a projection distance for performing the projection inspection at the selected focal distance.
