<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the overall efficiency of a fuel cell system by an intermittent operation of the fuel cell, and to improve the starting response of the fuel cell after being stopped. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel cell system for supplying load power from the fuel cell 20 and a secondary battery 30, the intermittent operation of the fuel cell is performed so that in a low load region, the fuel cell 20 is stopped and the load power is supplied from the secondary battery 30. In this case, the threshold of stopping/starting of the fuel cell 20 is adjusted depending on an open circuit voltage (OCV) of the fuel cell 20 in a stopping state (S180-S200). As a result, fuel consumption to maintain the open circuit voltage when the fuel cell is stopping, is avoided, and a restart response from the state that the open circuit voltage of the fuel cell 20 stopping a power generation drops is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
