摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moisture state measuring device and a measuring method in the fuel cell electrolyte by which moisture state in the surface direction of the electrolyte membrane can be measured. <P>SOLUTION: (1) These are a water content state measuring device 1 in the fuel cell electrolyte and its measuring method which comprise MRI 2 that obtains information of a measuring object material in the electrolyte in the fuel cell during power generation. (2) The measuring object is water. (3) The MRI 2 has a magnetostatic field intensity of 1.5 teslas or more. (4) The fuel cell 10 is set in the magnetostatic field so that its electrolyte face may cross at right angles the direction in which the magnetic line of force of the magnetostatic field of the MRI 2 runs. (5) The device has a reference 9 which has the same material as the measuring object material and the same thickness as that of the electrolyte 11. (6) The device has a fixing fixture 8 for fixing the fuel cell.
