Temperature probe cable comprising a probe of specified length in the form of a resistance measuring wire located on a core element and low resistance electric connecting wires, where the connecting wires and the resistance measuring wire are enclosed by high temperature resistant polymer insulation, covered with a synthetic plastic band of high mechanical strength, carrying a protective metal wire conductor in a closed external sheath. An independent claim is included for a preprepared cable length with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) insulation enclosed in a polyimide band.
