METHOD FOR IMPROVING A DATA RATE IN A DATA STORAGE SYSTEM AND A DISK DRIVE USING THE IMPROVING METHOD, ESPECIALLY CONCERNED IN PROCESSING DATA BY USING REGULARITY OF A COMMAND TRANSMITTED FROM A HOST APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A method for improving a data rate in a data storage system and a disk drive using the improving method are provided to analyze regularity of a command inputted to a disk drive, and to predict a next command to execute the predicted next command before substantially inputting the command, thereby increasing a data rate. CONSTITUTION: A controller analyzes a command inputted via a host interface from a host apparatus(S301), and decides whether the inputted command has regularity(S302). If so, the controller predicts a next command based on the command regularity(S303). If the predicted command refers to a read command, the controller reads information of a predicted sector to store the read information(S304,S305). The controller compares whether a command which is to be substantially inputted from the host apparatus is identical with the predicted next command(S308,S309). If so, the controller executes the predicted command(S310).
