PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a masking member, having good manufacturing efficiency and economic efficiency, forming a pattern of very small recessed parts with high quality, and having a cylindrical inner peripheral surface. SOLUTION: The diameter of a cylindrical part 31 where a pattern of through holes 12 for forming recessed parts by blasting is formed is larger than or equal to the diameter of a cylindrical inner peripheral surface of a workpiece member where the cylindrical part 31 is inserted and mounted. The cylindrical part 31 has elastic deformation means 14, 17 elastically deformed to reduce the diameter of the cylindrical part 31 when it is inserted and mounted on the cylindrical inner peripheral surface of the workpiece member.
