A capacitance is provided between two terminals (Ka,Kb) in a circuit section comprising a number of sub-sections (T1,T2;T3,T4;T5,T6...) for respectively providing a voltage-controlled sub-capacitance. Each sub-section comprises two sub-capacitance terminals between which the sub-capacitance is provided. A sub-setting voltage is supplied to each sub-section. The two capacitance terminals (Ka,Kb) are connected to each other. An independent claim is included for a method of providing a voltage-controlled capacitance.
