摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a zoom lens which has a high variable magnification ratio and has high optical performance which can sufficiently cope with the case even when a high-pixel solid-state imaging device is used, for example. SOLUTION: The zoom lens has a 1st lens group L1 having a negative refractive power, a 2nd lens group L2 having a positive refractive power which moves to an object side in zooming from a wide angle end to a telephotographic end, and a 3rd len group L3 having positive power in order from the object side to an image side, and has an interval between the 1st lens group L1 and the 2nd lens group L2 which becomes smaller in the telephotographic end with respect to the wide angle end. The 1st lens group L1 has a 11th lens having negative refractive power which has an aspherical surface of shape in which the negative refractive power becomes weaker from the lens center to the lens periphery, a 12th lens having negative power whose surface of the object side is convex shape and which consists of meniscus shape, and a 13th lens having positive power in order from the object side to the image side, and in the lens group L1, refractive indexes of materials of the 11th lens and the 12th lens are defined appropriately.
