ROTARY DISK TYPE STORAGE DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary disk type storage device in which dust is hardly deposited on the air bearing surface of a head/slider. SOLUTION: An actuator head suspension assembly is constituted so that a skew angle of the head/slider becomes a positive value at least in 80% of all tracks. Concretely the length of a distance L2 between the center 25 of a pivot shaft and the intersecting point P of the head/slider is set to a prescribed value or more or the actuator head suspension assembly is constituted so that an angleβexists between a reference line Y and a pivot line Z.
