PURPOSE: An information storage medium, an information reproducing device, and an information reproducing method are provided to record a sub picture stream for HD contents without changing a structure of a sub picture unit, while maintaining compatibility with a reproduction control program or a processing circuit. CONSTITUTION: An information storage medium records a video object unit including a sub picture pack which contains sub picture units. Each of the sub picture units includes a sub picture unit header, pixel data, and sub picture display control sequence table. The sub picture unit header includes a pre-header and a post-header. The pre-header includes sub picture unit size for the sub picture units with regards to standard resolution contents, and includes sub picture unit identifiers within the sub picture units with regards to high resolution contents.
