PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for controlling a PC by a phone call from a PBX(Private Branched eXchange) are provided to enhance a PC security function by allowing a user to control functions of the PC such as power-off or a screen protector through a phone call without having to access the PC. CONSTITUTION: A PBX(200) performs an authentication process to control a PC(300) by a user of a phone by interworking with the phone(100) and transmits a message for performing a specific function to an IP of the PC(300). The PC(300) connected with the PBX(200) by a TCP/IP-based LAN performs the specific function under the control of the PBX(200). A main controller(210) controls call connection with the phone(100) and data transmission/reception. An even processor(220) generates the specific function performing message to allow the PC(300) to perform the specific function based on data received from the phone(100).
