PURPOSE: Provided are a composition for a polyolefin resin foam, a polyolefin resin foam obtained from the composition which is excellent in softness, cushioning property and thermal insulation and has a sufficient thickness, and its preparation method. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a polymer component containing a polyolefin resin and rubber and/or a thermoplastic elastomer; and 5-150 parts by weight of a powdered particle, and has an extensional viscosity measured with a capillary flowmeter (at a temperature of 200 deg.C and at a shear rate of 5,000 L/s) of 20-100 kPa·s. Preferably the powdered particle is one selected from the group consisting of talc, silica, alumina, zeolite, calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, barium sulfate, zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide, and has a diameter of 0.1-10 micrometers.
