PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spin-dry control method for a washing machine that can achieve an optimum spin-drying by improving the accuracy of sensing the quantity and eccentricity of washing. SOLUTION: The spin-dry control method for a washing machine executes an eccentricity/quantity-of-washing sensing stage for sensing the eccentricity and quantity of the washing after executing a quantity-of-washing sensing stage for sensing the quantity of the washing. Because a main spin-drying stage is started after the final quantity of the washing is selected by using the quantity of the washing sensed in the eccentricity/quantity-of-washing sensing stage and the quantity-of-washing sensed in the quantity-of-washing sensing stage, an error caused by change in spin-drying with time is suppressed to minimum, and the accuracy of sensing the quantity and eccentricity of the washing is enhanced by increasing the total number of times of sensing the quantity of the washing.
