<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a correspondence education system by which a student taking a course is prevented from collapsing in the midway of attendance at a lecture. <P>SOLUTION: The system for education by correspondence conducts on-line education by correspondence by connecting a computer at a course founder side, through an electronic communication channel network, to a computer at a student side. The computer at the course founder side receives a course completion date from the computer at the student side; prepares the progress schedule of the lecture based on the course completion date; and notifies the computer at the student side of the progress schedule of the lecture. Then, the progress schedule of the lecture is compared with the actual progress state of the lecture for the student. When a change in the progress schedule of the lecture is determined, the progress schedule of the lecture is changed.
