<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect such fault information as enables an easy understanding of the status of a POS terminal at fault occurrence without a hearing from an operator. <P>SOLUTION: A fault information collection system, when a fault occurs in the POS terminal 1, captures a speech on fault contents and the like made by the operator who has actually operated the POS terminal 1 via a microphone 2. The POS terminal 1 then converts the speech captured by the microphone 2 to speech data 40 in a speech data conversion part 14, and records the speech data 40, plus equipment information 30 including log information 31 about equipment 3, in a recording part 16 as fault information for fault investigation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
