PURPOSE: A system and a method are provided to keep temporarily a charge that a user has approved in an electronic commerce and prevent a settlement risk by approving the charge finally after the user has received contents. CONSTITUTION: A system(60) for servicing temporary keeping of a charge comprises a subscriber managing portion(612) for managing user information, a transaction detail managing portion(614) for managing contents buying details and contents charge details of a user, wherein the contents are bought by the user from a content provider server via the mobile terminal. A receipt confirming and receipt detail reporting portion(616) confirms contents charges received from the mobile terminal of the user and reports the received contents charges to the mobile terminal of a content provider. A contents delivery detail managing portion(618) receives a contents receipt signal from the mobile terminal of the user. A charge remitting and remittance detail reporting portion(620) remits the received contents charges to the content provider if the content receipt signal is received.
