PURPOSE: A method and a system for synchronizing channel information of a UPnP(Universal Plug and Play)-based network are provided to pass over channel information where VTOMs(Virtual Tuner Object Managers) are arrayed to a CP(Control Point) to enable a user to sequentially select channels, thereby improving user convenience while realizing smooth communication between the CP and a driver. CONSTITUTION: A CP(110) requests a media server(120) to transmit channel information by using a UPnP command. The media server(120) requests a VTOM(150) to send available channel information. The VTOM(150) requests a TV driver(170) and a radio driver(160) to send the available channel information. The VTOM(150) writes the available channel information in XML document type, and transmits the channel information to the media server(120). The CP(110) stores the available channel information in a DB.
