The double fourdrinier assembly to convert a fiber pulp from a stock inlet jet (2) into a wet web, for paper or cardboard, has at least two continuous fourdriniers (3,4) and water extraction units (7,8,11,12). At the entry into the water extraction zone, a unit (9,10) injects a liquid into the fiber suspension at a gap and through at least one fourdrinier. The injected liquid is water, backwater, clear filtrate, super clear filtrate, and the like.
