<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for satisfying both of lightening and low thermal expansion property of a cast product having with a strengthened member cast from a light metal. <P>SOLUTION: A part of the strengthened member is constituted of a laminated structural body 102 formed by laminating many iron plates 105 with an opening hole part 106 formed. In the inner part of this laminated structural body 102, a hollow portion 107 is formed to attain weight reduction. Further, a porous body 103 constituted of nonwoven fabric, etc., of metallic fiber is disposed on a face being in contact with a matrix and an adhesion property to the matrix is improved and thus, the detachment between the strengthened member and the matrix, is prevented. The light metallic cast product using such the strengthened member, has small heat expansion in addition to the lightweight and for example, the product is suitable to a journal part of an engine block. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
