PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunctional pot holder which enables a user to safely hold an earthenware pot lid, can be put on a table by overturning, and can help to open the lid. SOLUTION: This pot holder comprises an almost cylindrical outer periphery wall part with an open part and a flat plate part placed from the upper end part of the outer periphery wall part toward the center. A projected part of a pot lid or a lid of a vessel with lid is held by the outer periphery wall part to help to open the lid of the vessel with lid and the lid can be turned over to be put on a table.
