The use of molding compositions (I) is claimed for producing laser-transparent shaped articles, where (I) comprises (by weight) (a) 20-95 (preferably 30-90) parts partially crystalline thermoplastics, (b) 5-80 (preferably 10-70) parts of one or more partially crystalline and/or amorphous thermoplastics (the sum of the amounts of (a) and (b) being 100 parts), (c) 0-120 parts filler(s) and/or reinforcing agent(s) and (d) 0-120 parts additive(s) selected from impact strength modifiers, flame retardants, stabilizers, mold release agents, lubricants, pigments, conductivity additives and/or nucleating agents.
