<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for presetting a predetermined specification and printing a thumbnail conveniently onto a CD jacket. <P>SOLUTION: A figure 42 having a rectangular outline defined by long sides 42a and short sides 42b is printed onto a print object 4. The figure 42 has such a shape as two shapes of a CD case are arranged side by side. On the inside of the figure 42, a line 42c is printed in parallel with the short side 42b at the central position of the long side 42a. An image being printed based on print out data is printed, as a thumbnail image 49, on the inside of the figure 42. Such print a specification is stored, as data, in an ROM similarly to ordinary print specification.
