<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator failure diagnosing device for diagnosing the failure of the follow-up performance of an actuator without using any actuator model by efficiently preventing integrating saturation. <P>SOLUTION: This actuator failure diagnosing device is provided with a second subtractor 11 for calculating a difference between a feedback signal at an actual request position and a feedback signal at a moving position, a second proportional element 12 for amplifying the difference as a control operation signal by a gain Ks, a second current limiter 13 for limiting the output currents of the proportional element, an integrating element 14 for inputting an integrated output calculated by integrating the output currents of the current limiter to a first subtractor 1 as a corrected request position and a second feedback line 15 for feeding back the output of the integrating element 14 to the second subtractor 11. Furthermore, the actuator failure diagnosing device is provided with a comparator 10 for limiting the integrated input from the second current limiter 13 to the integrating element 14 within the range of the maximum moving speed of the actuator, and compares the output of the first subtractor with a prescribed threshold.
