PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a servo die cushion which can perform a correct force control without using any force detector. SOLUTION: The controller 10 comprises: a slide position detection unit 10a for detecting the position of a slide 16; a storage unit 10b for storing a table or a formula for indicating the corresponding relationship between the position of the slide 16 and the speed of a die cushion 18 in which the force between the slide 16 and the die cushion 18 is predetermined so as to be a desired value; and a die cushion speed command unit 10c for preparing the speed command of the die cushion 18 based on the detected slide position by the slide position detection unit 10a, the table or the like.
