PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network facsimile machine and a network facsimile system capable of storing an image to a server, attaching a thumbnail picture and link information to electronic mail of the HTML form, and transmitting the resultant mail to a reception side thereby easily browsing the image. SOLUTION: In the case of creating the electronic mail of the HTML form with an image attached thereto and transmitting the resulting electronic mail via a network, the Internet facsimile machine 1 stores the image to the server on the network, creates the thumbnail picture of the image, attaches the thumbnail picture to the electronic mail, attaches the link information for linking the thumbnail picture to the image stored in the server, and transmits the electronic mail of the HTML form to the reception side. Thus, the Internet facsimile machine 1 can reduce the transmission time and the reception side can recognize the contents of the attached file image on the basis of the thumbnail picture and can easily browse or acquire the image on the basis of the thumbnail picture.
