<p>A mould for plastic material, especially a plastic injection mould, comprises a hollow area (41) formed between mould sections (12,17), and a cut out for a pin (21) eg a core pin made of a material with good thermal conductivity such as CuBe. The pin has a mantle region (44) made of steel, with an axial bore (28) that contains the thermally conducting material. The mantle and core pin materials locate with each other. The bore is closed at the mould hollow end, and has a coating. Cooling channels (42) are located next to the pin.</p> |
