PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound suitable as an organic luminescent material with high luminance at an optimum wavelength and stability, especially giving red-color luminescence, using a compound improved in the fluorescence wavelength of an aminostyrylphenanthrene compound giving red-color luminescence in high fluorescence quantum yield, to provide an intermediate for synthesizing the compound, and to provide methods for producing them. SOLUTION: The bis(aminostyryl)phenanthrene compound is represented by the general formula[I], [II] or [III]( wherein, R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>3</SP>, R<SP>4</SP>, R<SP>24</SP>, R<SP>25</SP>, R<SP>26</SP>, R<SP>27</SP>, R<SP>49</SP>, R<SP>50</SP>, R<SP>51</SP>and R<SP>52</SP>are each mutually the same or different phenyl or naphthyl; and R<SP>5</SP>, R<SP>6</SP>, R<SP>28</SP>, R<SP>29</SP>, R<SP>53</SP>and R<SP>54</SP>are each mutually the same or different electron-attracting group such as cyano group ).
