发明名称 NITRIFICATION/DENITRIFICATION METHOD FOR REMOVING NH4+ AND NO3- SIMULTANEOUSLY
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find out a microorganism capable of removing NH<SB>4</SB><SP>+</SP>and NO<SB>3</SB><SP>-</SP>simultaneously and use it for nitrogen removal in wastewater treatment etc.; to obtain a thermoduric bacterium which shows the nitrification/denitrification capacity even under high temperature. SOLUTION: Bacillus licheniformis strain T-7-2 (FERM P-19418) isolated from soil is capable of simultaneously removing NH<SB>4</SB><SP>+</SP>and NO<SB>3</SB><SP>-</SP>in a growing environment at high temperature such as 50°C, and exhibits the properties of a thermoduric bacterium removing NH<SB>4</SB><SP>+</SP>and NO<SB>3</SB><SP>-</SP>at 30°C. Consequently, when the strain T-7-2 is used for the wastewater treatment etc., it can be used under high- and low-temperature conditions and under a condition where temperature changes abruptly.
