The resulting manganese dioxide has a sharp peak in its X-ray diffraction pattern at 28 degrees indicating an index plane (110) ramsdellite and x is MnO x is 1À970-1À990. The oxide has a high depolarisation activity, a good discharge utilisation efficiency and contains 94-98À5% of effective oxygen. Specification 1214654 is referred to.
